The content is extracted from the root of Japanese parkslide, also known as knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum), known for its antioxidant properties. Like vitamins C and E, resveratrol helps to neutralize free radicals. Free radicals are harmful molecules that form naturally in the body and can cause oxidative stress in the body. Compared to antioxidants such as vitamins C and E, resveratrol has been shown to have a longer period of action in the body.
